Plea for help (actually it’s far more like begging…)

As it’s half term next week and I have nothing major pencilled in I intend to get a real crack on with TiRoBEx, that being said I have discovered that while my pen skills (both story and drawing) are satisfactory I could probably end up with a better overall product if I opened up a little more, and stopped trying to everything myself.

So here’s the idea; I’d really like to have lots of lovely coloured pictures in my rulebook, but quiet frankly I am about as useful as a cock-flavoured lollipop when it comes to use anything other than grey HB pencil on my drawings, likewise when I try to write anything resembling a story I end up writing how I speak, which apparently isn’t the way to do it – So are there any lovely people out there who’d do me some lovely pretty pictures? and likewise are there any aspiring novel writers who can knock up some short stories? just to give the world of TiRoBEx some fluffy-consistency – obviously the theme is Tiny robots and big explosions. I can’t promise any monetary rewards as, unlike all this kickstarter stuff I’m getting very bored of (some of which have loads of money anyway…),  I prefer to fund the whole thing myself, and I raise the funds as and when – but you’ll get all the Project Good publicity I can provide, and I’ll buy you a cake if I ever meet you in person 🙂

Anyhow thanks in advance, Ryan

Website Update

Just gave the ol’  website a once over – updated a few links and added a GtB: Athletics Edition and a TiRoBEx Page…

Also, I’ve sent out the playtest rules for TiRoBEx to everyone that was kind enough to offer their services – if you haven’t received it yet – send me a message on Twitter @ProjectGood and I’ll get the rules sent to you, ta.

First Post of the New Year

Right then you little tinkers! We actually made it into 2013, despite Mayan prophecies, and to celebrate I will try to post more often. I have greeted the new year with the joyous prospect of redecorating the hallway at home and so far there has been little cursing, which can only mean bad things for the end of the diy project…

Anyhoo – Tomorrow night I’m gonna be testing ‘Tiny Robots, Big Explosions’ down my local club, just to iron out obvious rules-blips before I email the playtest rules to everyone that has kindly offered to help out – so expect contact over this weekend at some point. I’m still torn as to how to record game status, whether to use tokens, dice or a drywipe system, but hopefully I’ll reach a decision before to long…

Tiny Robots, Big Explosions

Gearing up for some serious game writing over the festive period, and I aim to finally get another (non-GtB) game published in spring/summer 2013 – this time it’s Tiny Robots and Big Explosions – working Title is ‘TiRoBEx’ – but will probably change to something far sillier knowing me >:)  It’s all about using 6mm robots on 40mm bases and blowing your opponent to kingdom come, along with most of the terrain.

Anyhoo, in January,  I’m gonna need some playtesters; so if you fancy doing a bit of ‘game-breaking’ for me, please get in contact ryanfurlong@projectgood.co.uk – I’ll probably need about 5-10 testers in the first stages so it’ll be first come first served; unless you’ve done some testing for me before (or have been nice to me at some point), in which case the answer is already; “Yes, i’ll email you the first draft in January, then send you dice and minis to use in the game”.

Peace out.

Long time no post – not Good

Again I’m rattling out the ol’ apologies for not posting, but while doing many other things I’m just finding my muse again.

Decent has not moved on much from the last time I mentioned it, but as an update it’ll be available in both digital and ‘real’ format, and I’m currently getting a friend to work on Good: the App (which basically has all the character building/miniature bonuses on it as well as Good/Bad recording, witch brief power descriptors) – should be fun…!!

Annoyingly I totally forgot to get the Halloween special powers uploaded on the website – so looks like it’ll have to wait until next year – DOH!

As a bit of a side my local club have got a proper website now http://www.sadwc.co.uk which is nice, and i’m off to a couple of shows in the new year – still debating whether or not to attend the UK games Expo again this time round.

Anyhoo – Stay Good!

Good: the Holiday

Not been much going on in the world of GtB at the moment – too busy with my numerous other projects, the family & work in general. However, one of the Good: the Battle Co-Authors did send me this holiday snap, that I just needed to post up. –

Not entirely sure where he went, but it is probably the furthest travelled copy of GtB so far…

Look it’s GtB being explained at the Games Expo 2012!
